Dopple Dogs
Brief:
Create a self-initiated design project aimed at exploring innovative solutions through the use of Graphic Design. The project should demonstrate creativity, problem-solving skills, and a strong conceptual approach.
University Project
Solution:
For my self-initiated project, I created "Dopple Dogs," an app using scientific algorithms to match users' physical attributes with dogs in need of rehoming. The app aims to facilitate personalised dog adoption by recommending canine companions from shelters based on lifestyle preferences and compatibility, enhancing the adoption experience through innovative technology.
Development
When developing this concept, I began by creating wireframes to visualise the app's layout and consider UI/UX factors. Additionally, I explored various sketches of the app's typeface using Adobe Fresco, experimenting with different styles and designs until finding the perfect fit.
Applications
To extend the brand's reach, I applied it to various applications, including screen printing a "dog adventure pack" that allows owners to carry treats and essentials on walks. Additionally, I created a poster to encourage people to download the app.
Outcome
As an overall outcome, I created a detailed app walkthrough using Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro, available here: https://youtu.be/yEONF09bL-8?si=E01FRaF3r4KSeyLE. I also designed an Instagram brand carousel that highlights the colour palette, logo, and imagery, enhancing interactivity and visually reinforcing the brand's identity.
